First Impressions: Schwarzkopf Fibre Clinix

Anytime a brand announces a new launch, whether it be hair colour, styling products, or anything under the sun, I get really excited and skeptical all at the same time. I'm basically a product junkie, I love trying out new things. My bathroom counter constantly looks like a hurricane has come through and left behind utter chaos. Some people refer to me as The Goo Collector, but I prefer Goo Connoisseur.

Onto the good stuff! On June 13th, Schwarzkopf sent our local educator Johanne to come and give us her overview on a new set of personalized treatments. What I mean by this, is that they have launched a line of deep treatments that we can customize to suit the hair of each individual client. Upon hearing this, I was skeptical. The market is already so flooded with options for treatments and deep conditioners that I couldn't really understand the need for more. The best part about introduction classes, is getting to play with the new products. After learning all the science and good stuff behind this new technology, we jumped right in to trying it out and seeing for ourselves if we like it.

Step one: Wet down the hair, and shampoo using the BC Fibre Clinic shampoo. This step prepares the hair to receive the treatment by removing any excess oils and slightly opening the cuticle layer of the hair.

Step two: Mix your customized treatment! This system has two bases to choose from: fine-medium and medium-coarse. Next, select your booster(s) to suit the needs of your client's hair.

Available options include:

- Peptide Repair Rescue Booster for damaged hair

- Hyaluronic Moisture Booster for normal to dry hair

- pH 4.5 Color Booster for coloured hair

- Collagen Volume Booster for fine hair

- Keratin Smooth Booster for coarse and/or unmanageable hair Step three: Apply the treatment roots to ends using a tint brush for even application. Allow it to process for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Step four: Style as desired!

For myself, I mixed 25 grams of the medium-coarse treatment base + 4 pumps Hyaluronic Moisture Booster + 1 pump Peptide Repair Rescue Booster. The product rinsed out beautifully without leaving a residue on my hair. It felt moisturized but not weighed down. After drying my hair with very little product, I was impressed. Typically, brushing out my hair is an event on it's own but with this treatment is was really easy. I had a decent amount of extra slip in my hair which made it easy to comb out any tangles. I've now washed this treatment out three times and am pleased to say that I am still feeling the effects of it. While I'm still hesitant to believe that this will last 60 days, I am excited to find out. I'll keep ya posted! xoxo,

Emma
